Life Reflections
Paul Michael Colquitt was born September 23, 1986 at Cape Fear Hospital in Fayetteville, NC to Telfair Nixon Jr and Yong K. Colquitt.
Paul graduated from Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. After graduating high school he went on to receive an academic scholarship to attend Benedict College in Columbia, SC where he studied business administration and was a member of the honors program.
Paul was artistic and loved to produce and write music. Not only did he perform at several local venues in his hometown of Fayetteville, NC he also performed throughout the southeast.
He had an entrepreneurial spirit and was always thinking of ways to help his family. Paul never met a stranger and was known throughout his community for his bright smile and willingness to help others. He had a heart of gold, loved God and reading the bible. His favorite scripture was 2 Corinthians 4. Paul always said, “If I don’t pray and talk to God and love God, how could I even make it. Where would I be.”
Paul was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend to all. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Yong Colquitt, his father Telfair Nixon Jr, and step mother Arganna Nixon; three siblings, Emily Colquitt of Spring Lake, NC; MSG Telfair (Rachelle) Nixon III of Blythewood, SC, and Cortney (Shalanda) Walker-Nixon of Aiken, SC; niece, nephews, loving aunts, and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
